Fresh Figs with Prosciutto

During the Christmas Season we always had plenty of fresh figs from the Middle East and pairing them with the delicate prosciutto made this a wonderful appetizer. With a number of different figs available during the late summer and early fall season you should have no problem to prepare the dish.



Take a little of the skin off the top of the fig, split each fig into halves and place a thin slice of prosciutto over each half of the fig. Grind a little black pepper over fig and prosciutto and serve. They are delicious.
